What story will you write?

15 Jun

I heard Bono once say that for him everything life is a melody; for me everything in life is a story. A big story is made up of lots of tiny little stories. Everyday there are literally thousands of stories that make up the “story” of our day.

Sometimes I over emphasize the importance of these little stories and my life is thrown madly about, backwards and forwards, up and down, to and fro, as I sometimes win and sometimes lose. Paradoxically at times I have also been guilty of focusing too much on the bigger story of the day (my life) and I lose sight of the little gems that make life so fascinating.

I think the most important thing is to realize that our lives are indeed a concoction of vitally important stories and that we have been given a gift, a page (time) on which to write them. You cannot separate the little stories from the big stories for they are words, sentences, paragraphs, pages and chapters all written in the same book.
