Stories in 140 characters…

20 Nov

In the 21st Century everyone has ADD that is why Twitter says no more than 140 characters…

Watching old movies is painful because our attention span is so short that the stories seem slow…

However 140 characters can still be a story it has just shrunk in it’s resolution (detail)…

The good news is ADD means that we must listen when we tell our stories, we must notice what maintains attention…

The micro-story is a new form of story telling that belongs to the realm of the poets…

Micro-stories are the ideal platform for developing more complex and longer form stories…

A story is still a story and a master story-teller must learn to move between different lengths and formats…
