Lists are evil what you need is a shortcut

8 Jan

When ever you see a bullet point list on how to achieve “anything” be very, very careful. How to become rich? How to be a better lover? How to transform your life?

One word shortcuts everything… Love… If you love something , you won’t need a list and you will do it magnificently with infinite amounts of passion.

Lists take you out of your heart and put you in your head… try the shortcut instead.

To be entirely through with lists one would have to die. I think Beckett said this someplace. His characters love lists, and manic list-making. This has become a contemporary pop-culture fetish, too, perhaps proving that we are all becoming like his characters, crazy and fragmented and obsessed with lists of fragments. But it is one way of keeping track of oneself.
