Stuck in the Deep South

18 Apr

So I missed the last couple of blog posts… I apologize for my lack of consistency.

Life can take you incredible places when you live your dream, when you risk everything that you have to walk the narrow path you believe you were designed to walk. I have been walking this path, to paraphrase Tolstoy… “even though I have stumbled drunkenly down this narrow path, full of fear, anxiety and doubt, it has none the less been the right path for me to walk.

Last night I was at a party in Charlotte, North Carolina in America’s beautiful south, there were three white people at the party (and one of them was serving) and the rest were some of the most beautiful people I have ever met. In the next few days I am going to tell you the story, my story about how a white boy from the other side of the world ended up fully immersed in the African-American culture of the deep south…

And no I still can’t dance
