Knocking on doors

29 Jun

It always pays to knock on more than one door… this is another way of saying don’t put all of your eggs in one basket or always keep your options open. A friend of mine once gave me some great business advice recently, she said always have at least three people in mind when it comes to doing a job, and structure the job and the payment in such a way that no one person is indispensable.

In the past I have made the mistake of putting too much faith in one person, and I have let this faith (hope) get in the way of my decision making process. No one person should ever be able to get in the way of the plan for your life. If they block your path you just need to re-route your way around them.

It may seem harsh but your life and what you do with your time is really your responsibility and ultimately you will answer only to your creator.
