I have just returned a week of honey-mooning at Carmel by the Sea, definitely one of the more beautiful places in the world. Marriage is good, to quote a new friend… “it just makes things easier.”
So now we sit down to write a new script, to begin a new journey, not as a single man and a single woman but as two characters divinely tied together in a miraculous partnership. Our story just got a whole lot better.
One thing I’ve learned in the swirling whirlwinds of love is that the human heart must speak. Too often, we script and plan our words and our actions in our minds, and there they are measured and weighed, in a method that often manufactures and processes the “living passion” out of them.
No doubt there is a place for such measuring, but we find the most memorable moments of life in the unhindered moment, in the spontaneous, unscripted, unprotected and vulnerable places in our hearts… it is here that miraculously on occasions we forget ourselves.
