Perspective is perhaps the most important thing in the creative process.

Perspective is what makes your work unique, perspective is what defines your work as either genuine or fake… But whose perspective is it?

Seduction will steal your perspective; we can easily be seduced by market demands, formulaic success recipes, and our permeating culture. As a result we look at other people work for inspiration, rather than truly searching our own souls and creating our own.

Every genuine artist desires to leave their own signature, their own legacy that lingers long after they are gone.

In finishing it is worth wondering whether even “perspective” itself is worth pursuing if it does not involve a search for a “universal truth” outside of oneself?
