I blame the city…

27 Jan

If you want to do something significant with your life… go the shittiest, darkest, dampest place on earth and clean it up. If you want to do nothing at all… well then do nothing at all.

I often hear people in big cities blame the city itself for being an “unfriendly” place. As far as I know bricks, mortar and concrete have never made particularly good companions for human beings. The city is never unfriendly… the people however maybe.

Unfriendly people desperately need friends, it’s the only thing that will make them friendly again. And grumpy waiters are in desperate need of a generous tip to warm up the miserable feeling souls.
