…the urban melting pot…

23 Feb

If heaven existed on earth… it could never perfect, not yet, not this side of eternity. I have too many flaws, so much brokenness, I am given to thinking only of myself… I can be very selfish.

In all my wanderings I have finally found a place on this earth which is a kind of broken heaven. Some would call it a church, others would call it a community of faith, I would simply say that these people are my friends. There is nothing cultish, controlling or sinister about this place, everyone is welcome, the black, the white, the straight, the gay, the believer and the skeptic, no one is turned away. It is a kaleidoscope of culture and joining together in friendship and sharing life together.

It costs you nothing to join and you are free to come and go as you please.

Beautiful post, the question..whether there is a heaven on earth or not always reminds me of “Hidalgo” because he talks about how he believe to have found it once and if there was a heaven on earth then there had to be a hell as well.
