… so this is me…

25 Apr

Humility, humility, humility. Boxing Promoter Don King apparently once said… “I’m so humble that sometimes I truly amaze myself…” I am talking about a different kind of humility here…

Being driven to succeed will never lead to happiness. Striving and pushing, straining to prove ourselves with out art; can only produce work that is full of ambition and strain. We must endeavor to relax and produce work that comes from a place of peace and contentment, otherwise despite our best intentions we are never really giving our audience anything.

By honestly and simply just SHARING our creativity with our friends (our audience), we avoid the top down success model that leads to arrogance and pride.

So so true Geoff….its funny how things link as i received an inner dictation today stating a very similar process. I guess it is also in our ‘serving’ that lies the perfection and creation. Also, if we can let go of the little I (ego) everything should flow….. nice post!
