The Creative War…

2 May

Imagine a thing… go on do it…

But what sort of “a thing… is it an object, an event, a relationship or an invention?

The questions just keep on rolling… and because we continue to ask them, the wheels of our imagination remain firmly stuck on the logical left side of our brain.

So often we come to the creative process with a subconscious agenda, some fixed notion of what it means to be creative, or some peculiar idea about having to get things RIGHT.

But everything we are about to do is imaginary,it is not right or wrong; “a moral imaginary world” doesn’t exist because it is all make believe… so RELAX and TRUST… the time for censorship is LATER.

Your life is like a blank canvas, an unwritten song, an empty blog or a white blank page; you can create WHATEVER with the space that you’ve been given.

The desire to get it right is…WAGING A WAR… against our CREATIVE FREEDOM.

“The time for censorship is later…” I’ll have to remember that the next time that fear interferes with creativity.

Very Interesting post Geoff… all so true. Perfection only lies within oneself and this can be reflected outwardly onto the canvas of life and it’s Tapestry… or remain hidden with false doubts, the confusion and illusion that is placed upon us from exterior thoughts and feelings.

We can all can reach for the stars with passion, integrity and truth. When we look back at our lives when we are old and grey….lets not pose ourselves questions like ‘Am I fulfilled?’ / Have I left a legacy? feeling that we have betrayed not only ourselves but all of humanity. (Bit deep sorry… it just came to me… Make dreams come true everyone! God Bless Dave
